Committees
VCACC relies upon its volunteer members to accomplish its mission and support its goals. VCACC's member volunteers are our greatest asset. They govern the organization, are the driving force behind the development of educational programming, products and guidelines, and shape ACC positions on both state and federal legislation. Government Relations CommitteeThe Government Relations Committee monitors legislation and actively lobbies to defeat bills that are adverse to the health interests of the citizens of Virginia. Committee members actively support bills which are in the best interests of all Virginians. We pursue our legislative agenda at every stage of the legislative process. Education CommitteeThe Education Committee plans meetings that are interactive, timely and impact quality care including the Annual Meeting. Click here for information about the latest educational offerings. CVTeam CommitteeThe Virginia Chapter ACC is dedicated to creating a vibrant and growing community comprised of Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Pharmacists from practice and hospital settings. Currently, CVTeam Members serve not only on their own committee but also on the chapter leadership council. Visit this page to learn more. American College of Cardiology National CommitteesEvery fall, the ACC President-Elect makes appointments to committees, task forces and working groups.
